National Unified Label to Take Effect in Korea

In 2008 Korea’s Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) set the wheels in motion to unify various Korean certification labels into one single marking. The new label requirement is set to take effect on 1 January 2011.

The new mark, called the KC mark, will take the place of 13 certification marks now in use. These include the EK safety mark and the KCC mark required for telecom and radio devices.
